Battle of Highwater
The Battle of Highwater was effectively the defeat of the Confederate Northern Forces. Imperium soldiers shattered the Confederate advance destroying the bulk of the army. Highwater is a coastal fortress outside of Rysa carved right into the cliff face. It’s high postition and advanced heavy siege weaponry make it perfect in defending the city by both land and sea. Thinking an all out assault would be a surprise, the Confederates were confident that they had the numbers to take the keep. Massive casualties were expected, but if Highwater could be taken the road to Rysa and victory over the Imperium was not far away. Northern armies found the Fort on full alert. Despite this the Clans of the North managed to hold up a intimidating onslaught. The shift in the battle, however, occurred when an overwhelming and unexpected Imperium force arrived from behind, encircling and crushing the main fighting force of the Northern Armies.
